Even though Appletree is not a flat organization, we truly work together as a team, a family type atmosphere. Our call centers nationwide are outfitted with a kitchen and dining table, where all levels of staff mingle throughout the work day to eat and interact. We have also implemented an area in each of our call centers called “The Zone.” The Zone consists of comfortable seating, a tv and cd player with headphones, books and magazines and access to the internet. Employees of all levels are encouraged to take their breaks in “The Zone.”
In addition to the physical environment, we try to create an environment where communication is open and available to all employees. Our Internet/Intranet is a terrific resource for education materials, community activities that the sites are getting involved in, as well as, social and milestone celebrations throughout the organization.
Our mentoring program, diligent cross-education and team approach to the company’s goals create an inclusive environment where all employees are asked to roll-up their sleeves to pitch in and help each other out. Whether it be to clear out track-it tickets within our IT department, take Sales leads, collect or jump on the phones because our call volume is high, the staff understands the common goal of the company and strives to work together to achieve those goals. |
