The Accounts Receivable Team is currently seeking a Collections Specialist to work with customers on solutions for bringing their delinquent account up-to-date. We are looking for an individual who can build a positive rapport with our customers and make the collections process a positive experience.
Locations:
Portland, ME or Wilmington, DE
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans collections by receiving and analyzing delinquency reports; determining appropriate action.
- Collects accounts by discussing situation with customer; obtaining payment; developing a solution.
- Provides management control information by recording and summarizing collection data and trends.
- Properly document all customer interaction
Work Experience Requirements:
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule during the week
- Organization and attention to detail
- Experience with MS Word, Excel, Outlook required
- Customer Service background preferred
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- COMMERCIAL collections experience preferred but not required
- Punctual and reliable
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- College degree preferred
